Saudi: ‘I’ll expose this league if I speak’ – Joào Felix furious after Al-Nassr’s defeat to Al-Ittihad
Al-Nassr midfielder, Joao Felix, has said that he would be exposing the Saudi Pro League, SPL, if he chooses to speak out.
The Portugal international stated this following Al-Nassr’s 2-1 loss to their rivals Al-Ittihad on Saturday.
Felix expressed his frustration after the match, suggesting he might ‘expose’ the Saudi Pro League.
The Knights of Najd’s perfect start to the season was abruptly halted by their defeat against Al-Ittihad.
Nigerian player George Ilenikhena scored two quick goals in the first half, providing the hosts with an excellent beginning.
Although Angelo Gabriel reduced the deficit in the 36th minute, Al-Nassr could not score again in the second half, marking their first defeat of the season.
Felix received his fourth yellow card of the season after fouling Richard Rios in the 69th minute.
The Portugal international appeared visibly frustrated with match official Khaled Al-Turais and seemed to question him after the match concluded.
Felix declined to answer questions from several reporters post-game and was recorded saying, as quoted by journalist Ratiban Al-Dossari, “I won’t speak to you, because if I do, I’ll expose this league.”
Felix is expected to serve a one-match suspension due to his fourth booking, meaning Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr will be without their key attacker in their upcoming match against Abha on
