“Some People Sponsor Terrorism To Blackmail Tinubu”- Bishop Kawas

- Bishop Kawas alleges that some individuals are sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria.
- He claims this is an attempt to blackmail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
- The bishop draws a comparison to events during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Bishop Kawas has alleged that some individuals may be sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria as part of an attempt to blackmail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, drawing a comparison with what he claimed happened during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The cleric made the claim while speaking on the security challenges facing the country, suggesting that terrorism could be influenced by political interests.
According to Kawas, some people may be deliberately supporting acts of terrorism to put pressure on the current administration and portray President Tinubu in a negative light.
“Some people sponsor terr0rism to blackmail Tinubu, just like they did to Jonathan” he said.
His comment has sparked attention amid continued concerns over insecurity and the activities of terrorist groups in different parts of Nigeria.
Kawas’ comparison with the Jonathan administration also highlights the long-standing political debate over the use of insecurity as a tool to undermine governments in power.
