The Problem Isn’t Necessarily You, It’s The System” – Daniel Regha Tells Nigerian Youths To Stop Feeling Pressured

• Media personality Daniel Regha has advised Nigerian youths to stop putting unnecessary pressure on themselves over money and success, arguing that making enough legitimate income to pay bills, spend and still save is difficult in Nigeria.
• Regha attributed the challenge to the country’s high cost of living and said many people who become financially successful do so through connections, exploitation or by compromising their dignity, while urging youths not to compare their progress with others.

Media personality Daniel Regha has urged Nigerian youths to stop pressuring themselves over money and success, noting that making legitimate money while paying bills and having enough left to save is difficult in Nigeria.

Regha made the statement while discussing the financial pressures facing young Nigerians and the different ways people make money.

He wrote, “As a youth, to make legit money in Nigeria, foot bills and still have enough to spend and spare isn’t easy; The cost of living is extremely high, and so is the idle lifestyle.”

He added, “Now don’t get me wrong, one can make good money, but it’s either thru connections, exploitations, or trading your dignity for pay.”

According to him, connections and nepotism give some people opportunities they may not qualify for, while exploitation also affects entrepreneurs, staff and entertainers.

He further stated, “Nigerians worship money a lot, and this stems from the problem.”

Regha concluded, “It is very difficult to see someone who made it big as a youth, without falling into any of these categories.”

He added, “So before you envy anyone’s success or feel like you haven’t done enough, know that the problem isn’t necessarily you, it’s the system and what Nigeria has turned into.”
