Isabell Idibia, the daughter of Nollywood actress Annie Idibia and Nigerian music star 2Baba, has spoken about the genuine bond shared by her mother and celebrity fashion stylist Swanky Jerry.
During an interview on Yanga FM 89.9 Lagos, Isabell addressed speculation surrounding the pair’s friendship, making it clear that their closeness is not simply something they display in public.
According to the young star, Annie and Swanky Jerry share a real friendship that extends beyond social media posts, public outings and red-carpet appearances.
She explained that the stylist maintains a close connection with the family and sometimes communicates with her mother through FaceTime.
“They are actually close; it is not just for the camera. Sometimes they are even on FaceTime. He was at the house some time ago, but I was asleep and couldn’t see him. That is my Uncle Swanky.”
Isabell’s comments appear to put to rest assumptions that the relationship between Annie and Swanky is merely for publicity, as she described him warmly as her “Uncle Swanky.”
During the interview, she was also asked to name her favourite song from her father’s music catalogue.
Isabell revealed that “Nfanga Ibaga,” one of 2Baba’s popular tracks, holds the top spot on her personal list.
