“Would You Ask This Same Question To A Gynaecologist?”- Daniel Etim Effiong Defends Kissing Scenes In Movies

  • Daniel Etim Effiong, a Nollywood actor, addresses criticism of actors for kissing scenes in movies.
  • He questions the validity of concerns regarding intimacy in film roles.
  • The discussion highlights the nature of acting and the portrayal of romantic relationships on screen.

Nollywood actor Daniel Etim Effiong has questioned people who criticise actors for engaging in kissing scenes as part of their roles in movies.

The actor raised the issue while responding to concerns about the intimacy involved in some movie scenes, particularly those that require actors to kiss or portray romantic relationships.

According to Daniel, people should view such scenes within the context of the actors’ profession rather than attach personal meanings to them.

He drew a comparison with medical professionals, asking whether people would pose the same questions to a gynaecologist who examines female reproductive organs as part of their job.

“Would you ask this same question to a gynaecologist who look at female gen!t@ls everyday?” he questioned.

Daniel’s comment highlights the distinction between an actor’s professional responsibilities and their personal lives, stressing that certain actions performed on screen are part of the job.

The actor has continued to feature in movie projects that require him to take on diverse roles, including characters involved in romantic storylines.
