Ogun police probe butcher’s death after workplace dispute

The Ogun State Police Command is investigating the death of a 26-year-old butcher, Ibrahim Wasiu, who was allegedly stabbed by his colleague after a disagreement over sweeping their workplace in Alagbole.
NewDailyPrime obtained that the police arrested the 21-year-old suspect, Selim Ayodele, after the incident was reported at Ajuwon Police Station at about 8pm on 18 October 2026.
Victim dies after hospital rush
The disagreement occurred after both men had finished their day’s work at a cow meat-selling outlet, preliminary police investigations indicate.
They said the argument concerned sweeping the floor before it escalated. Ayodele allegedly picked up a knife, stabbed Wasiu in the left side of his chest and twisted the weapon.
