Olubosin of Ifetedo Reportedly Joins Ancestors

The Olubosin of Ifetedo in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State is reportedly dead.

The monarch, who ascended the throne in 2018, reportedly died on Friday.

Before ascending the throne, Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera, a lawyer, was a public servant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which he joined in 1992. Prior to that, he had worked as a teacher and a police officer.

He attended CAC Primary School, Ipetumodu, and had his secondary education at Ifetedo Grammar School.

He also attended the Oyo State College of Education, which later became Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, and now University of Ilesa.

In 1988, he joined the Nigeria Police Force, where he served between 1988 and 1992.

In 1992, he joined the NNPC in Lagos, and in 1993, he proceeded to the Lagos State University, Ojo, where he obtained a Diploma in Law.

In 1997, he gained admission to the University of Lagos to study Law and graduated in 2004.

Although the palace has not released any official statement on the monarch’s status, social media has been awash with condolence messages.
