A Nigerian lady has shared her version of the events surrounding the reported breakdown of TikTok creator Audrey Cyril’s relationship with her fiancé, Mr Presh.
According to the lady, contrary to claims that Audrey ended the relationship, it was Mr Presh who ultimately called off their planned wedding.
She alleged that the families of the couple, who have reportedly known each other for more than 28 years, became involved in the dispute following a series of allegations and controversies that played out online.
Speaking on the development, she said:
“Mr Presh and our bride are no longer together. Our groom called off the wedding, not the bride. The last thing that broke the camel’s back was when the groom gave an ultimatum for the bride to put out a statement with their pictures, saying they were still together and some of the things said about him were lies.
The bride also gave the groom an ultimatum that he should also post the same picture and write-up, telling people that he was sorry and that some of the things said about him were lies.”
The woman claimed Audrey initially agreed to publish the statement but eventually did not go ahead with it.
She alleged that Mr Presh subsequently told Audrey that if he could not give instructions to the woman he intended to marry without being challenged or refused, he would not continue with the marriage.
According to her, Mr Presh acknowledged some of the mistakes he had made before deciding to end the planned union.
She further claimed that Audrey’s father was still supportive of the relationship at the time, with his major concern reportedly being whether Mr Presh had a child outside marriage. She alleged that he did not.
The lady also claimed that some individuals who had previously made allegations against Mr Presh later reached out to Audrey and admitted that they had lied and attempted to portray him negatively.
She alleged that the controversy took a toll on Mr Presh, causing him to experience emotional distress and withdraw from social activities.
According to her, the situation eventually escalated after Audrey allegedly removed his engagement ring, following which Mr Presh asked her to take down a video documenting their engagement.
The claims have emerged amid the ongoing public attention surrounding the couple’s reported separation, although the accounts being shared online have not been independently verified.
