He pointed out that during the firefight, troops dominated the terrorists with superior firepower, forcing them to abandon their positions and fled into deeper forest.
However,the troops subsequently pursued the fleeing terrorists, neutralising some of them in the process while further exploitation of the area led to the destruction of the terrorists’ camps and all life-support structures, as well as the recovery of weapons and five motorcycles.
