Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, have commended the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries held across the state.
Speaking after voting in Okpe Local Government Area during the Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency primary, Oborevwori described the exercise as orderly and transparent, noting that the turnout of party members reflected growing support for the APC ahead of the general elections.
He urged party members to sustain the spirit of unity displayed during the primaries.Deputy Governor Onyeme, who voted in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, praised the adoption of the Option A4 voting system, describing it as transparent and accountable.
The APC National Assembly Primaries Committee Chairman for Delta State, Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, also commended party members for the peaceful conduct of the exercise across constituencies monitored by the committee.
Several candidates emerged winners in the primaries, including Hon. Ramson Onoyake (Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie), Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi (Ndokwa/Ukwuani), Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu (Aniocha/Oshimili), Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Sueni (Ethiope), Hon. Ejiro Waive (Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu), Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko (Isoko), Emmanuel Osazuwa (Ika), and Hon. Julius Pondi (Burutu).Party stakeholders across the state described the primaries as peaceful, transparent, and consistent with democratic principles.
