The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the mop-up exercise for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be conducted on June 13, 2026.
The board disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday by Fabian Benjamin, its public communication advisor.
According to JAMB, the mop-up examination is designed for candidates who were unable to participate in the main UTME conducted between April 16 and 23 due to technical glitches, examination malpractice cases, or biometric verification challenges.
The board explained that only candidates who were successfully verified but could not sit for the examination for valid reasons will be eligible for the exercise.
JAMB described the mop-up test as the final phase of the 2026 UTME process, aimed at addressing all outstanding issues affecting candidates.
It urged affected candidates to print their examination notification slips starting from June 6, 2026, and advised them to confirm their designated centres ahead of the examination date.
The board also warned that no further opportunity would be given after the mop-up exercise.
According to JAMB, candidates are expected to make necessary arrangements early, as the June 13 exercise marks the conclusion of the 2026 UTME cycle.
