The Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Mohammad Wanzam, member representing Sakwa Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Rt. Hon. Guwor described the death of Hon. Wanzam as a painful loss to the Bauchi State Government, the Bauchi State House of Assembly, the people of Sakwa Constituency, and the entire legislative community in Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Conference of Speakers disclosed that Hon. Wanzam served meritoriously as Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, and discharged his duties with diligence, dedication, and commitment to the welfare of his constituents and the development of Bauchi State.
“On behalf of the Conference of Speakers and my colleagues across the 36 state assemblies, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, members, staff, and the entire Bauchi State House of Assembly, over this irreparable loss.
“Hon. Wanzam was a committed legislator who believed in service to the people. His contributions in the area of budget oversight and appropriation will be remembered by all who worked with him”, Guwor stated.
The Chairman, Conference of Speakers, prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the departed lawmaker his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for fortitude for the family, constituents of Sakwa, and members of the Bauchi Assembly to bear the loss.
“From Allah we came, and unto Him we shall all return. May the soul of Hon. Wanzam rest in perfect peace, Amin,” Rt. Hon. Guwor added.
