Cuba's national power grid suffers 'total disconnection' for 2nd time in less than week

Cuba’s national power grid has suffered a “total disconnection”, operator UNE said on X.
“Total collapse of the National Electric System,” UNE said on Friday at 4.30 pm local time (2030GMT), without providing the cause of the outage.
This is the second nationwide blackout in less than a week, after one on July 6.
Cuba grapples with its worst economic crisis in decades, including severe fuel shortages and repeated power failures.
