Israeli forces detain Syrian civilian amid fresh cross-border incursions

Israeli forces have launched fresh incursions into Syria’s southern provinces of Quneitra and Daraa, detaining a civilian during a raid in the latest reported violation of the country’s sovereignty.
The Syrian state news agency SANA said Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Western Samdaniyah in northern Quneitra on Sunday, where soldiers raided a home, detained a civilian and later withdrew from the area.
In neighbouring Daraa province, Israeli forces advanced before dawn toward the villages of Maariyah and Al-Ardah in the Yarmouk Basin area, according to the state-run Alikhbariah TV.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the reported incursions or the detention.
