Legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba has spoken publicly for the first time since his reported clash with his wife, Natasha, at a club in Abuja, sharing photos from a meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
The singer posted photos of himself with the IGP on his social media page, revealing that they had a meaningful conversation centred on community policing.
According to 2Baba, their discussion focused on the need to build stronger trust between Nigerians and members of the security forces sworn to protect them.
He wrote:
“Had a meaningful conversation with the IGP on community policing and the vital need to build stronger trust between our people and those sworn to protect us.
When we listen to each other, we build better together”.
The post comes amid public attention surrounding the reported altercation involving 2Baba and his wife, Natasha, at a nightclub in Abuja.
However, the singer did not directly address the reported incident in his post or explain whether his meeting with the police chief was connected to it.
Instead, his message centred on dialogue, mutual understanding and improved relations between the public and law enforcement.
