Ex-Bauchi Gov’s Wife Hails Oluremi Tinubu Over Food Support For Vulnerable Nigerians

A former First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammad Abdullahi, has commended the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for using the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) to provide food support to vulnerable Nigerians nationwide.

Mrs Abdullahi spoke at the weekend in Bauchi during an interview with journalists at the formal presentation of food items under the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Food Outreach Scheme.

She said the intervention would provide relief to persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, as well as support their families and improve their overall well-being.

According to her, the food outreach scheme was designed to complement the federal government’s efforts to address food insecurity and other socio-economic challenges confronting vulnerable Nigerians.

Abdullahi also appreciated the first lady for extending the intervention to 29 states, including Bauchi, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

She further recognised the two donors who supported the programme, expressing gratitude for their generosity and sustained commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.

The former First Lady further praised Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her commitment to ensuring that the Renewed Hope Initiative reaches Nigerians facing difficult circumstances.

She described the food outreach as a significant intervention that would provide immediate support to families in need and complement the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Our goal at the Renewed Hope Initiative is to complement the Renewed Hope Agenda by supporting Nigerians to strive and achieve their aspirations irrespective of their circumstances or status,” she said.

Hadiza also described the National Community Food Bank Programme as timely, noting that it would help improve access to nutritious food, combat child malnutrition and promote the healthy growth and development of children.

She commended the Bauchi State Government for its cooperation and commitment to the welfare and development of its people, particularly vulnerable groups.

Hadiza also appreciated the First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed, for her support towards the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Initiative in the state.

She expressed optimism that the intervention would bring meaningful relief to beneficiaries and contribute to ongoing efforts to reduce hunger and food insecurity among vulnerable Nigerians.
