This concern stemmed from the former couple’s history and the abuse allegations that had previously surrounded their relationship.

Hickerson and Panettiere began dating in 2018, but their relationship quickly became sour. He was arrested several times following alleged domestic violence incidents involving the actress, which eventually led to a jail sentence.
