The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.
The new system currently covers results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), meaning candidates will no longer need to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres regularly to complete the process.
Under the arrangement, candidates can use JAMB’s e-Facility platform to verify their results after obtaining a verification code.
JAMB will then confirm the result directly with the relevant examination body before uploading it to the candidate’s profile.
To use the service, candidates must provide their National Identification Number (NIN), obtain a verification code and make the required payment.
Candidates can also use the SMS option by sending “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019.
JAMB said the technology-based system was introduced to make its services faster, safer and more convenient, especially during periods of high demand.
The Board said the initiative would also help reduce long queues at CBT centres, limit errors caused by manual data entry and reduce problems linked to network failures at centres.
JAMB is expected to expand the direct verification system to results from other examination bodies.
