Nigerian billionaire businessman and Jezco Group founder, Sir Joseph Ezeokafor, has reportedly been abducted by unidentified gunmen in Anambra State.
Ezeokafor, who is the father of Instagram celebrity Jowizaza, was reportedly kidnapped last week while praying alone on a mountain in Awka.
Lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu disclosed the incident in a Facebook post on Sunday, alleging that the businessman had gone to the mountain without his usual security details and police personnel.
According to Iwuchukwu, the gunmen reportedly abducted Ezeokafor during the prayer session and took him to an unknown location.
The reported incident has caused concern in Ekwulobia, his community, where Ezeokafor is regarded as one of the wealthiest residents.
Iwuchukwu also claimed that the community’s annual New Yam Festival was postponed because residents felt it would be inappropriate to celebrate while the family of their “illustrious son” was dealing with the reported abduction.
