Kano Assembly Speaker Falgore Mourns Death of Hausa Entertainer Kosan Waka

Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed condolences to the family of Muhammad Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka, following his death at the age of 47. The condolence message was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.

Falgore described the late entertainer’s death as a painful loss, saying it was deeply felt not only by his family but also by admirers of his work and the wider Hausa entertainment community. He commended Kosan Waka’s contributions to Hausa literature and the entertainment industry, noting that his creativity and artistic works left a lasting impact.

According to the Speaker, the late entertainer’s legacy would continue to be remembered for his role in promoting Hausa cultural expression through his craft. Falgore prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and asked Allah to grant his family, especially his mother, the strength to bear the loss.

“May Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of Muhammad Buhari, known as Kosan Waka, and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement quoted the Speaker as saying.
