Mr Abubakar idris, Adamu the  Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Education Trust Fund has described the allegation of the misappropriation of funds belonging to an organisation as a motor park accusations and bridge of administrative protocol, saying  that all the allegations lebel against him was baseless and those peddling it do so to bring his reputation down before the general public in the stat

The Executive Secretary of the Education Trust Fund who denied the allegation in an interview with journalists in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital, said that the office of the executive secretary of the trust fund is responsible for the day to day activities of the an organisation, administrative function and accounting officer of the establishmeni

It could be recalled that the Chairman of the Trust Fund,Timothy anjide had petitioned the governor of Nasarawa State accusing the Executive Secretary, Abubakar Adamu Idris, of opening 14 bank accounts, some of which are unknown to the state accountant-general, awarding 39 contracts without due approval and proces

Others are obstructing auditors from scrutinizing the fund’s expenditures, bypassing the governor and the governing board to seek amendments to the law establishing the fun

Speaking on not opens for an auditing, approved contracts without governor’s approval, and bypassing governor governing board seeking to amendments of the establishing the find, the executive secretary said,” the accusations was not true any information as far as the establishment is concerned, one of the fundamental things there is about the accounts in question, which ministry is our supervising ministry? the ministry of finance is the supervisory ministry on all account

So, if the government needs any information, is it that difficult to get anything that has to do with all the accounts in question.

“when you look at section 8 of the law, says that all the board members operate on part-time except the executive secretary, who is the only full-time member. whatever actions that are going to be taken in this segment is at the governor’s powe

“So, whatever is generated from the fund in the name of whatsoever, in as much as it’s the fund that was generated naturally, it is the governor that is supposed to take final approval,” idris sai

He added that wether the board has an account or not is not the chairman’s business; added that if he needs further clarification because he was not satisfied with the information available for him, he should reach out to the office of the accountant-general which they report to his office every month, he further said that any account opened, it was with an authorit

Speaking on the 39 contracts awarded by him, mr. abubakar adamu idris, further explained that those contracts in question undergo due process by public procurement law, public notice law, among other administrative procedure
