Fashion magazine Vogue has released exclusive photos and details from the living room wedding of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and model Georgina Rodríguez, following their private ceremony in Cascais, Portugal.
The couple exchanged vows on August 11, selecting the date to mark the 10th anniversary of their first meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016. The exclusive coverage, captured by fashion photographer Juergen Teller, showed the couple celebrating at their family home alongside their children before visiting the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima for a religious blessing.
Addressing why they opted against a public spectacle, Rodríguez explained that an intimate setting felt more meaningful for their everyday life.
“In the future, we will have a big wedding so we can celebrate with family and friends,” Rodríguez stated to Vogue. “When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle… And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home. Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate that’s more unusual for us.”
Beyond the wedding details, the Vogue feature also highlighted statements from Ronaldo regarding his career timeline, with the 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward indicating that the upcoming 2026–2027 season will likely be his final year in professional football.
“This is probably my last year of football, and I want to leave a spectacular legacy,” Ronaldo said. “Just the fact of being man and wife, you enter a different league.”
