A woman who was set on f!r£ by her husband has asked for his forgiveness despite the horrific attack.
The incident happened on August 14 at an estate in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to reports, the couple had an argument after the woman b¥rnt some of her husband’s clothes that she thought he was no longer wearing, without asking him first.
The husband became very angry, threatened her, then got petrol from his motorcycle and set her abl@z£.
The woman, Berida Irawo, is currently being treated in hospital and is in stable condition.
Doctors expect she will be discharged in the coming days.
When a pastor visited her on August 18, she asked that her husband be forgiven for what he did.
The pastor who visited said the husband appeared confused and incoherent immediately after the attack, which raised concerns about his mental state.
According to the pastor, the husband needs to be properly evaluated to determine if he has mental health issues.
