Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has disclosed that she repeatedly turned down lucrative political and commercial offers that could have earned her billions of naira, choosing instead to safeguard her core values and public advocacy.
Speaking on an episode of the Afropolitan podcast, the award-winning screen icon stated that she refused to compromise her principles for financial gain, even in situations where such dealings could have remained secret.
Jalade-Ekeinde explained that while many of the proposals were not explicitly illegal, accepting them would have compromised her foundational belief system and diluted her personal brand over time.
She added that despite walking away from substantial paydays, maintaining her moral integrity remained her top priority throughout her multi-decade career in the entertainment industry.
