A Nigerian lady has recounted a dramatic incident involving a fellow passenger who allegedly pretended to be asleep in an attempt to avoid paying his transport fare.

According to the woman, all the other passengers in the bus had paid the conductor, but the man reportedly remained silent and acted as though he was sleeping throughout the journey.

However, as the bus neared its final destination, she noticed that the passenger had still not paid. She reportedly drew the conductor’s attention to it, and after checking, the conductor confirmed that the man had yet to settle his fare.

The passenger eventually paid, but the situation reportedly escalated afterwards.

The lady claimed that the man became upset with her for informing the conductor and began raining insults on her, despite the fact that she had initially kept quiet.

She said, “Tell me why this guy started cussing me out after payment. I didn’t talk! Conductor dey cuss am back.”

She explained that she ignored the man’s insults at first, but the situation changed after the passengers began getting off the bus.

According to her, the man eventually called her a “mad woman” and said, “Look at you, mad woman”.

In response, the woman said she started raising an alarm, shouting, “Tiffff oh! Ole oh! Tiffff, Tiffff, Tiffff oh!”

Her reaction reportedly attracted the attention of people in the area, prompting the man to quickly leave before a crowd could gather around them.

The lady said those who witnessed the incident found his sudden departure amusing, apparently understanding why she had raised the alarm.

The incident has since drawn attention to the unusual confrontation that reportedly started after the passenger was called out for allegedly failing to pay his bus fare.
