Widow Allegedly A$$aulted By In-Laws Who Accused Her Of Monetising Video Of Moment She Learnt Of Husband’s Death

A young widow, Chioma Bamidele, has shared the emotional moment she received news of her husband’s death.

According to Chioma, she was preparing to make a vlog about taking out her old cornrows and going to the salon with her daughter when she received the news.

She said her husband had promised to call her at 9am and meet them at the salon, but instead, a sudden incident led to the news of his death.

Chioma, who still had her phone with her, recorded herself as she broke down after learning that her husband had died. She later shared the video online alongside other posts documenting her grief.

In the post, she wrote:

“I was about making a vlog for taking out my old cornrows, and going to the saloon with my daughter, he promised to call me @9am and meet us at the saloon, then I heard the big bang on the gate, hmmnnn may what we are not expecting spoil our good expectations. Life just gave me a big blow. If I was told I would be a widow at my age, I will reject it with everything in me. In all I still judge you faithful, ABBA!!”

However, her public posts about her husband’s death reportedly angered his family.

According to the account shared online, her in-laws accused her of trying to monetise their brother and son’s death and allegedly demanded that she either take down the videos or leave her late husband’s house.

Chioma and her sister have since appealed to Nigerians for help, alleging that the family has continued to pressure her over the posts.

The development has sparked mixed reactions online, with some people defending Chioma’s decision to document her grief while others questioned why she chose to record and share her reaction immediately after receiving the news.
