  • Mbeng shared a video on Facebook on September 30, 2026, detailing her perspective on courthouse events.
  • The defense was aimed at addressing criticisms from the online fan community known as “May Nation.”

A supporter of Nollywood actress Judy Austin has publicly defended her following reactions that trailed her recent court appearance, while also addressing members of the online fan community popularly known as the “May Nation.”

The supporter, identified as Florence Mbeng, shared a video on her Facebook page on September 30, 2026, where she gave her account of events that reportedly unfolded at the courthouse.

According to Florence, Judy Austin arrived at the venue with her legal team and was fully prepared for the proceedings. She claimed that the legal representatives of Judy’s former husband, Emmanuel Obasi, and actress Rita Edochie were not ready for the hearing.

Florence stated that Judy attended the court session as the complainant in the matter and was present to secure a new adjournment date.

She further alleged that after the proceedings, Judy left the court premises calmly and entered a waiting vehicle that had a driver and security personnel attached to it.

Florence claimed that members of the opposing side only began exchanging words after Judy had already departed.

“Nobody can face Judith face-to-face. It’s noise that you people are making,” Florence said in the video.

Responding to comments about Judy Austin’s appearance in court, Florence defended the actress’ choice of outfit, saying she dresses according to her personal preference and that her husband, actor Yul Edochie, appreciates her style.

She also addressed questions surrounding Yul Edochie’s absence during the initial court proceedings, arguing that Judy, being the complainant, had no reason for concern, unlike those facing the allegations.

Speaking about veteran actress Rita Edochie, whom she repeatedly referred to as “Mama Rita,” Florence maintained that a wife occupies a special place in a man’s life and advised extended family members not to interfere in marital issues.

“Mama Rita was insane to be fighting her son’s wife because you cannot have a child with your son,” Florence said.

Florence concluded her remarks with a warning to anyone she claimed might consider confronting Judy physically, alleging that the actress is always accompanied by undercover security personnel.

“You people will not be locked up in Nigeria. You people will be locked in Amsterdam,” she stated.

The video has since generated reactions online, with social media users debating Florence’s comments and the ongoing controversy surrounding the Edochie family.
