APC Primaries: Gagdi Begins Thank-You Tour, Calls for Unity in Plateau Constituency

Yusuf Gagdi has begun a thank-you tour across the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency following his victory in the All Progressives Congress primaries.Gagdi, who won the primary election conducted last Saturday, described the exercise as peaceful and commended party members across the constituency’s 36 wards for their participation and orderly conduct.
Speaking during the tour, the lawmaker thanked supporters for their confidence in him and pledged continued commitment to the constituency. “I sincerely thank the APC family across the 36 wards that make up Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency for their overwhelming support and peaceful conduct,” he said.
Gagdi stated that returning to appreciate constituents after elections had become part of his political tradition, adding that he remained focused on service and grassroots engagement. He also addressed criticisms circulating on social media, saying he preferred to allow the political process and the support of constituents to speak for him.
The lawmaker called on party members, including those who did not support his candidacy, to unite ahead of future elections. “Politics is about inclusion. I call on everyone to join hands with us to move the constituency forward,” he said.
Speaking during the visit, Muhammadu Muazu Muhammadu II urged residents and political stakeholders to sustain peace and unity within the constituency. The monarch also stressed the importance of collective efforts toward development and stability in the area.
