The meeting, held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, brought together representatives of the Military, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), vigilante groups, officials of the Ministry of Internal Security, Chairmen of the 21 Local Government Areas, and members of the State Executive Council, among others.
The meeting formed part of Governor Idris’ proactive commitment to strengthening security across all 21 Local Government Areas of Kebbi State through enhanced collaboration, intelligence sharing, and coordinated security strategies.
The meeting also reflects the Governor’s consistent approach of regularly reviewing the state’s security landscape to identify emerging threats, assess ongoing operations, and implement effective measures that will sustain peace, stability, and public safety throughout Kebbi State.
According to him, the high-level security meeting will reinforce prevailing peace in the state amid pockets of security challenges not peculiar to Kebbi State alone.
“We will continue to do everything possible within our power to enhance the security of lives and property of the people of Kebbi State”
