The Presidency has come under public scrutiny over the activities of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who has been charged with eight counts of conspiracy, forgery and impersonation before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The Police had charged Adeyemi for allegedly operating a fictitious government agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, forging a presidential appointment letter bearing the purported signature of Gbajabiamila, and maintaining 34 bank accounts in the names of non-existent government bodies.

2. Court Upholds Mark-Led Leadership Of ADC, Dismisses Abejide’s Suit

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday affirmed Sen. David Mark’s leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Justice Musa Liman, who gave the judgment, also dismissed the suit filed by Rep Leke Abejide challenging Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as national chairman and national secretary of the party for lacking merit.

Global crude oil prices have fallen to around $70 per barrel, fuelling fresh expectations among Nigerians that the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, could soon be reduced.
