FBI declares Nigerian fraudster who escaped at Atlanta Airport wanted, places $5,000 bounty

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, has declared a Nigerian woman, Emuobosan Emmanuella Hall, wanted after she mysteriously vanished at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport before starting her eight-year prison sentence.
Hall was convicted in the United States for fraud-related offences and was sentenced to eight years imprisonment by a federal court.
The US authorities said she disappeared at the Atlanta airport while she was being processed to begin serving her jail term.
How she managed to escape from the heavily secured airport remains a mystery.
Following her disappearance, the FBI has now offered a $5,000 reward for any information that could lead to her arrest and prosecution.
In a statement released by the Bureau, the FBI described Hall as a fugitive and urged members of the public, both in the US and abroad, to provide credible information on her whereabouts.
“Anyone with information concerning Emuobosan Emmanuella Hall should contact their local FBI office and will be rewarded with $5,000,” the statement read.
Hall was reportedly part of a fraud syndicate that defrauded several American citizens of millions of dollars before she was apprehended, tried and convicted.
Her escape at the Atlanta airport has raised serious concerns about security lapses at the facility.
The FBI assured that investigations were ongoing and that all necessary measures had been put in place to track down and rearrest the fugitive.
