“Tinubu’s Victory Depends On Our Hopelessness”- Nigerian Lady Accuses APC Of Political Propaganda

  • A Nigerian lady criticized the APC’s political strategy.
  • She claims it fosters hopelessness among citizens before the 2027 elections.
  • The belief that President Bola Tinubu is assured of victory may demotivate voters.

A Nigerian lady has criticised what she described as the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s political strategy of creating hopelessness among Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general election.

The lady argued that the belief that President Bola Tinubu has already secured victory in the forthcoming election could discourage people from believing that their votes can make a difference.

Sharing her views, she said the repeated claims that Tinubu would win the 2027 presidential election were part of a narrative designed to make Nigerians feel that the outcome had already been decided.

“I believe that APC’s political strategy is hopelessness. Tinubu’s victory depends largely on our hopelessness. I figured this out recently. In some of these street interviews, people say President Tinubu has already won the 2027 election. These are political propaganda designed to manufacture hopelessness,” she said.

She further expressed concern that some Nigerians were already declaring Tinubu the winner of the next election, even before the electoral process had taken place.

According to her, the situation becomes more concerning when people who have yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) also make such declarations on social media.

She suggested that the narrative could discourage eligible voters from participating in the electoral process by creating the impression that their votes would not change the outcome.

Her comments have drawn attention to the role of public perceptions, political messaging and voter participation as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general election.
