A lady has appealed to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah to address concerns about emergency healthcare services in the state following the death of her friend’s baby, which she claims could not receive the urgent medical attention it needed.
In a video circulating online, the lady expressed deep sadness over the incident, alleging that the hospital where her friend was receiving treatment did not have oxygen available for the baby.
According to her, efforts to obtain oxygen from other hospitals reportedly proved unsuccessful, as the facilities allegedly refused to open their gates to provide emergency assistance.
She also raised concerns about access to medical care during late-night emergencies, claiming that patients in urgent need of treatment could struggle to get help when hospitals are unwilling to admit them.
