Chelsea have turned down multiple approaches for highly rated defender Josh Acheampong, underlining the club’s determination to retain one of its brightest young talents.
The 20-year-old academy graduate is viewed as a key part of Chelsea’s long-term plans and has reportedly been placed on the club’s list of “untouchable” players.
According to reports, Acheampong is considered central to the Blues’ future alongside stars such as Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and Moises Caicedo.
Despite limited first-team experience, Chelsea remain convinced of the defender’s potential. Acheampong made 17 Premier League appearances last season, with nine coming as a substitute.
The defender has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are reportedly monitoring his situation, while AFC Bournemouth remain interested after tracking him during the previous transfer window.
Chelsea, however, are under no pressure to sell. Acheampong is contracted to the club until 2029, strengthening their position amid growing interest from rival teams.
While it remains unclear whether the England Under-21 international is seeking more regular first-team football elsewhere, Chelsea’s stance highlights the club’s confidence in his development and future role at Stamford Bridge.
For now, the message from Chelsea is clear: Josh Acheampong is not available for transfer.
