2027: Youth Group Plans 10m Mega Rally For Tinubu, Seeks APC Govs Partnership

A group known as the Youth on Ground Progressive and Mentorship Initiative (YOG), has disclosed plans to hold a 10 million youths mega rally in November in support of the re-election of President Bola Tinubu at the 2027 general elections.

The Founder/National Coordinator of YOG, Dr Obioma Nwuba who disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja, called on every positive-minded young Nigerian in the diaspora, in every ward, local government area and state to join hands with the group to achieve the plan.

Nwuba explained that YOG was founded on the conviction that Nigerian youth are too often summoned into politics only as thugs, as ballot-box protectors, or as an afterthought at election time, only to be discarded once the votes are counted.

He rejected the pattern, saying the group is building a disciplined structure of purposeful leadership and mentorship, in which young Nigerians are trained, organised and positioned as genuine stakeholders in governance.

Nwuba said YOG exists to complement and amplify Tinubu’s commitment to youth empowerment, economic revitalisation and national stability, aligning its grassroots activities directly with the President’s Eight-Point Agenda.

“Where government designs policy from the top, YOG will carry that policy to the wards, the local governments, the markets, the farms and the campuses, translating it into action.

“Where the Renewed Hope Agenda speaks of food security, we are already on the farms training young agropreneurs. Where it speaks of job creation, we are already building mentorship pipelines.

“Where it speaks of national unity, we are already convening young people across ethnic and religious lines. Government policy succeeds or fails at the point of delivery, and the point of delivery is the community. That translation work turning federal policy into local impact is precisely the space YOG has chosen to occupy,” he said.

According Nwuba, in about 1 year of its existence, YOG had moved from vision to visible impact organising South-East Youth Summit, Agro-Tech Training, Mentorship and Empowerment Programme,
Free Malaria and Typhoid Fever Eradication Programme in the Federal Capital Territory, among others.

He called on the federal government and All Progressives Congress(APC) Govenrors to recognise, endorse and partner with YOG as the grassroots delivery arm of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Mr President, you have given us the vision. Give us the vehicle. YOG is that vehicle, tested, structured, and already on the ground. You cannot win 2027 with manifestos alone. You win it with grassroots mobilisation. Ten million organised youths are ten million votes, ten million voices and 10 million defenders of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Governors, we are not asking for handouts. We are offering you foot soldiers for food security, for peace, and for jobs in your states. Partner with us, and let us turn policy into plates of food and internally generated revenue IGR.

“Every youth left idle is a risk. Every youth trained is an asset. YOG is the bridge between your policy and their productivity.
The time for youth conferences is over. The time for youth contracts is now. Integrate YOG into your job and agriculture schemes today, not tomorrow.

“…We stand in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and we stand equally in support of his 2027 second-term aspiration, because continuity of purposeful leadership is what this moment demands,” Nwuba added.
